Immersa nel verde dei boschi di carpino e querce, la Fattoria Colombara dei F.lli Gozzi si trova nello splendido cuore delle Colline Moreniche Mantovane. L’Azienda, la cui superficie attuale è di 36 ettari, mantiene tuttora una conduzione familiare e si è indirizzata totalmente verso il settore vitivinicolo. Questo percorso di costante ricerca migliorativa sia nel vigneto che in cantina è stato premiato da numerosi riconoscimenti come medaglie d’oro e d’argento ottenute in concorsi internazionali. La produzione più importante riguarda i vini D.O.C. Garda e D.O.C. Garda Colli Mantovani, i cru affinati in legno – Rosso Saline, Colombara, Vigna Magrini – e il nostro Spumante Metodo Classico ai quali si è aggiunto Le Falme, un moscato secco molto particolare.
Die Fattoria Colombara liegt in den Moränenhügeln südlich des Gardasees. Auf etwa 35 Hektar werden Weinreben angebaut. Die Brüder Cesare und Franco Gozzi haben den Hof von ihren Eltern übernommen. Früher war die Fattoria ein traditioneller Bauernhof mit Viehhaltung, Feldwirtschaft, Gemüseanbau – Wein war nur ein Nebenprodukt, heute wird ausschließlich Wein produziert.
Die Weine der Fattoria Colombara stammen aus naturnahem Anbau – gespritzt wird so wenig wie nur irgend möglich. Sorgsame Pflege im Weinberg wie im Keller garantieren hohe Qualität und den sortentypischen Charakter der Weine. Die Fattoria Colombara stellt Reinsortenweine her wie z.B. Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay oder Pinot Bianco.
Ortstypische Cuvées sind der Bianco DOC, der Rosso Rubino, der Chiaretto. Mit dem Rosso Saline, dem Weißwein Colombara und erst recht mit dem Vigna Magrini beweist die Fattoria Colombara, daß sie im internationalen Wettstreit um hochrangige und konzentrierte Weine mithalten kann. Der Spumante Brut wird nach der traditionellen Methode (“champenoise”) hergestellt und heute noch von Hand gerüttelt.
The Fattoria Colombara was founded in the 1920’s in the heart of the Morenic Hills near Mantova and the Lake Garda, immersed in quiet green woods of birch and oak.
Until the 1980’s its production included cereals, livestock and horticultural products. Nowadays the 34-hectare farm (7.4 acres) is still directed by the family but is oriented
only towards the production of wine. The Gozzi brothers have made large investments in the development of the wineyards and in the building of cellars where the wine is
produced and where it is aged in wooden casks.
